NBA Summer League play is a chance for younger players to prove themselves in front of scouts and executives who are looking to make some G-League signings or two-way deals.

That includes some former Clemson basketball stars like Chase Hunter, Viktor Lakhin (although he's injured and hasn't played), and PJ Hall. Those guys are all hoping for legitimate contracts, and they know it's not going to be easy to earn them.

However, Hall is doing darn near everything to make sure Charlotte signs him.

In his first Summer League game against the Jazz, he came off the bench and scored seven points with three rebounds and he only played 10 minutes because he had six fouls (you can commit 10 fouls in NBA Summer League before fouling out). In his second game, he played just 11 minutes but scored seven points again off the bench with four rebounds on 3-of-5 shooting.

Finally, in his third game this past Monday, Hall played 13 minutes and managed to score nine points with five rebounds, and he didn't commit a single foul. He was 4-for-9 from the field and had the highest +/- on the bench.

It's safe to say Hornets fans were happy with what they saw from the reserve big man from Clemson and they've been petitioning on Twitter for the front office to sign him to a deal.

Pretty much every diehard Hornets fan has been raving about Hall during Summer League play, and Charlotte is 3-0 with him coming off the bench as the best reserve big. Could it be a sign that Charlotte needs to retain him with a two-way deal that eventually turns into a full-time NBA contract? I'd say so.

Just listen to the fans.
