It's offseason rankings season and that means that we get to see college football experts make lists of the top players and teams heading into the 2025 season. Cade Klubnik has been a fixture of top players rankings lists heading into the offseason.

Following a career year with the Tigers, he's been earning a ton of praise.

In 2024, Klubnik put up 3,638 yards and 36 touchdowns with only six interceptions and a 63 percent completion rate. He improved drastically from his sophomore season and probably could've been selected in this year's NFL Draft but opted to return for his senior season.

How much did he improve? As a sophomore he had 2,844 yards and 19 touchdowns with nine interceptions and a slightly higher completion percentage (64).

Not only did Cade improve as a passer, but he also became more of a dual-threat, rushing for 463 yards and seven touchdowns. He had 321 total yards and six touchdowns in the two years combined on the ground before 2024.

This improvement was good enough to be ranked No. 1 on former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy's top 10 quarterback rankings for 2025.

It's hard to argue these rankings because Klubnik has the most returning production out of anyone on this list and honestly he might have flirted with the first round if he came out this season -- we did see the quality of quarterbacks chosen, and it wasn't great.

I think Klubnik is easily the best quarterback in college football heading into next season and he should remain there until proven otherwise.

I can't wait to see what he does with this receiving corps.
