For the first time all season, the Clemson Tigers will be playing in back-to-back early kickoffs. With Week 10's road game at the Syracuse Orange beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET, Clemson's final ACC home game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be 30 minutes later. Toe will meet leather in Death Valley on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 12:30 p.m. ET. The CW will carry the ACC rivalry game during Week 11.

Depending on what happens this weekend, there is a fairly decent chance that Clemson will be a bowl-eligible team, hosting a team coming off its seventh loss of the campaign. While the Tigers had a great showing last week in Tallahassee, Georgia Tech devolved into the worst team in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets could not even defeat a reeling Pittsburgh Panthers team without Mason Heintschel.

Because the Syracuse game will also be taking place in the early afternoon window, the chances of Clemson somehow overlooking Georgia Tech have gone away. While Clemson may potentially suffer in a letdown spot at Syracuse, this is not likely to compound in consecutive weeks. In a way, this early kickoff is certainly in Clemson's best interest to possibly get to 7-3 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

Clemson needs to play with more confidence to beat Duke in Week 12

The reason having back-to-back noon-ish kicks is great for Clemson is that it sets the stage for what is to come. After beating Florida State enough to the point where Mike Norvell had to go, Clemson can use that newfound momentum after the Virginia Tech heartbreak and apply it to Syracuse. In the event the Tigers win in Upstate New York, the momentum will compound heading into the Tech game.

If Clemson rattles off three wins in a row, that may be enough to help propel the Tigers to presumably an upset victory on the road at ACC contender Duke. While a win over the Blue Devils could force the Tigers into certain conference title bout discussions, it will all be about slaying the dragon that is the South Carolina Gamecocks at season's end. Shane Beamer has his program rolling into November.

Not to say Clemson has any shot at getting to Charlotte, or even sniffing the College Football Playoff, but a second-half surge could have this team on the cutting room floor at 9-3 (6-2). If that is the team's record heading into bowl season, a shot at 10 wins on the campaign could still be within reach. In the event the Tigers win that game, they will have finished the year on a six-game winning streak.

Although it could have been nice to have a mid-afternoon kick for once, or maybe even another primetime game, the fact that Georgia Tech comes into town in the early window only serves Clemson. This is what happens when you are going up against the worst team in your conference. Georgia Tech might have hit the skids, but Clemson will be out for blood to avenge last year's loss.

With how the final four games are setting up, Clemson has a chance to finish the season out strong.
