Viktor Lakhin, who anchored the paint for Clemson last season, is officially headed to the NBA Summer League after signing with the Sacramento Kings. Clemson Athletics confirmed the move Friday, giving Tiger fans another reason to keep an eye on the pro circuit this July.

Lakhin becomes the fourth former Tiger to earn a Summer League roster spot this offseason, underscoring the program’s growing NBA pipeline. The Kings tipped off their Summer League slate against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday at 5 p.m. EST, with coverage available on NBA TV, Prime Video and ESPN+.

The program confirmed the roster addition via its official social media account, stating:

"Viktor Lakhin will play with the Sacramento Kings during the 2026 NBA Summer League!"

This Summer League shot comes after a hectic year for Lakhin, who split time between the NBA G League and overseas. Most recently, he suited up in Puerto Rico for Cangrejeros de Santurce, where he chipped in 3.6 points and 3.7 boards per game in limited minutes across 13 contests.

Before heading to Puerto Rico, Lakhin logged 31 games with the OKC Blue, the G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He posted 10.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per night in just over 20 minutes a game, showing flashes of the inside-out skill set that made him a force at Clemson.

Lakhin played just one season in orange & purple after transferring from Cincinnati, but he made it count. In 31 games under Brad Brownell, he averaged 11.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in 23.6 minutes per game. His ability to score inside and step out to the perimeter gave Clemson a new dimension up front, even as he continued to improve his control and footwork.
