Clemson basketball fans, it's about to be your time to shine. While the football fans have been treated nicely by EA Sports with the return of the college football video game each year, college basketball fans are getting their chance to shine.

According to EA Sports' official X account on Monday, the college basketball video game is going to make a return, posting "let's run it back" much to the delight of hoops fans.

If this doesn't get your juices flowing in the middle of a Monday work day, I don't know what will. The return of the game is long overdue and the last time it was out, Clemson wasn't exactly one of the better teams in the ACC.

In fact, the last time EA Sports released NCAA Basketball 10, Clemson was hovering around .500 in conference play. Brad Brownell wasn't even the head coach yet. Oliver Purnell was in the final years of his head coaching tenure and while he did lead the Tigers to four straight NCAA Tournaments from 2007-2011, they didn't made it past the second round under him.

Now, Clemson is one of the better teams in the ACC and a legitimate contender as it proved in 2024-25 with a massive upset win over Duke and second-place finish in the conference standings.

Unfortunately, there will be a little wait for the return of the NCAA Basketball video game as it's rumored to be coming back in 2028.

That's a long time to wait, but thankfully we have College Football 26 (and 27 and 28) to hold us over until this game's release. It can't come soon enough.

Time to lead Clemson to 10 national titles.
