Mid-July in the Upstate means one thing: Clemson football is almost back, and you can feel the electricity in the air. For Tiger fans who hang on every word from Dabo Swinney, this is more than just the start of another season—it's a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart of the Clemson Family. When Swinney took the podium Tuesday at the preseason media outing, he wasn't just rattling off dates and opponents. He was speaking as a man who has lived and breathed this game, and this program, for decades.

This season, Swinney is stepping into rarefied air, joining the true giants of college football. Facing the media, he showed the same fire and gratitude that has made him a legend in Tigertown—a coach who still attacks every day like it’s his first.

"This is always a fun time of year," Swinney said. "For me it's I was thinking about this morning since my 37th college football season... my 24th at Clemson and my 18th as the head coach, full time. So, man, time flies. That's all I can say. Time flies when when you love what you do, you love where you do it, and you love who you do it with."

For a fan base that bleeds orange and values loyalty above all else, hearing Dabo mark his 24th year in Clemson colors hits home.

The Countdown to Camp: How Clemson Gets Ready to Roll

For those keeping tabs on every move inside the Reeves Football Complex, Swinney mapped out a no-nonsense, tightly scheduled run-up to camp. The lazy days of summer are over. The staff is already shifting gears into their trademark 'All-In' meetings, setting the tone before the players report for the business side of things.

"We start our all-in meetings tomorrow as a staff. That's between now next week. That's about about five days," Swinney explained. "August 4, our guys will come in. We'll have a couple days of orientation, administrative type of stuff, and then we'll be on the field on the sixth. So, lot to do, and you know, ready to ready to go do it."

Swinney made it clear: summer school was a win, with players handling their business in the classroom so they can lock in on football. The staff sees this stretch as the third quarter of a four-quarter grind, gearing up for what Dabo calls the 'prime time phase'—the stretch where championship teams are made.

"Summer school has been good. You know, from an academic standpoint, guys are in the summer too now," Swinney concluded. "So just everybody's just kind of you know ready to get back out of the field and kick off this new season... all we're focused on is just doing the work."

With the paperwork behind them and the roster locked in, Clemson is primed for a crucial month of work.
