Saturday night's Clemson vs. Virginia Tech game has a surprising amount on the line for one team. Obviously Virginia Tech is out of the ACC title race and it would take a conference tourney title to even get into the NCAA Tournament, but the Tigers are still playing for the former.
That's right, Clemson is still alive in the push for an ACC title share and if the Tigers beat Virginia Tech on Senior Night, all they will need is a Duke loss at North Carolina.
Easier said than done.
Duke has been dominant all season long with just one conference loss and that was to the Tigers. Clemson was able to pull off the upset a few weeks ago and if not for that win, it wouldn't be alive in the race for a Big Ten title on the final day of the regular season.
There is also plenty of betting interest heading into the game. People will be looking to take the red-hot Tigers over a slumping Virginia Tech team, but you better be ready to bet a large spread.
According to DraftKings, Clemson is a heavy favorite on Saturday evening.
Line: Clemson -16.5
Over/Under: 135.5
Moneyline: Clemson -2100 | Virginia Tech +1100
As you can see, Vegas sees this is a massive win for Clemson and I have to agree. The Tigers are red-hot right now and they should be heavy favorites like this, especially at home with some high-impact seniors playing their last game in front of the home fans.
I'll say Clemson covers and the over hits as the Tigers win 81-60.
