Fresh off their bye week, the Clemson Tigers will now turn their attention to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. Clemson will enter the Week 7 game at 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in ACC play. While Clemson has shown it can beat up on inferior competition, it has been a struggle for Dabo Swinney's team to play up against higher-quality opponents. Thankfully, Charleston Southern is not high quality.

Saturday afternoon presents a tremendous opportunity for Clemson to set the tone for how the second half of the Tigers' season could go. While the stars on this team still need to shine brightly, it may be more important for other role players to have their moments in the sun. After all, confidence gained from this game could go a long way toward helping the Tigers navigate their final six games.

Let us dive into the odds before we see what could be in store for the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Clemson Tigers vs. Charleston Southern Buccaneers game prediction

While it would be incredible, this Clemson offense has yet to show anyone that it can score 30 points, let alone 50. For that reason, the under is probably the smarter play here. After all, it is about getting enough money on both sides... That being said, Clemson does have an underrated defense at Tom Allen's disposal. If he can get a pass rush going, then Clemson should be able to win this one easily.

As far as the offense is concerned, it is crucial for Chad Morris to have at least 40 carries in this one. Look for Gideon Davidson to exceed 20 carries and for Tait Reynolds to become a bigger part of the Clemson rushing attack with 12 to 15 runs. If Clemson can dictate the time of possession, we could be in for an even lower-scoring affair. It is all about finding the end zone on well-orchestrated drives.

Clemson needs an easy game so badly, but it will take a little bit longer for the Tigers to close it out.

Week 7 final score prediction: Clemson 34, Charleston Southern 10.
