One of the most anticipated sights for Clemson fans this Saturday will be the return of a fully healthy Tyler Brown. After a breakout freshman season was followed by a frustrating, injury-plagued sophomore campaign, the explosive wide receiver is back and looking better than ever.
"I just can't wait to see him play," Offensive Coordinator Garrett Riley said with a smile. "The guy's been practicing really, really well... he's healthy, he's fast, and he's been a consistent practice player."
Head Coach Dabo Swinney echoed that sentiment, confirming that the electrifying player who dazzled as a freshman is once again making plays all over the field.
"He's flying around, playing fast," Swinney said. "It's good to see, because he wasn't healthy last year."
For Riley, Brown's biggest area of growth has been his consistency. With that foundational piece in place, his natural talent has been able to shine through even more.
"That improved, then you saw just some more playmaking ability," Riley explained. "As he got into fall camp scrimmages... I was able to really see some true playmaking ability from him. So that was certainly great to see."
Against a tough LSU secondary, a healthy and confident Tyler Brown could be the X-factor Clemson’s offense needs.
