The Tigers bounced back with a 73-62 win over Wake Forest. The win pushes Clemson to a 10-3 record and a 2-0 record in the ACC.
It was a total team effort this afternoon, outstandingly, with five players in double figures. The usual suspects — Viktor Lakin, Chase Hunter, and Ian Schieffelin — scored 13, 16, and 13, respectively.
However, Jaden Zackery and Jak Heidbreder were fantastic down the stretch. The sharpshooter Heidbreder knocked down three of his four three-point attempts and finished with 15 points. Zackery had the lowest point total of the five with 12, but made a huge diference on the court, leading the team in five steals and six assists.
However, the big diference in the game was a 23-8, nine-minutes run in the second half. Wake Forest couldn't keep. Guard Hunter Sallis took the team on his shoulders, scoring 26. However, the Demon Deacons poor three-point shooting was ultimately the end for them.
