On Monday, the Tigers picked up yet another crystal ball prediction for four-star defensive lineman Seth Tillman, the local standout from Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Tillman has narrowed his list to Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Michigan, but the Tigers are making a strong push to keep the 6-foot-2, 295-pound force in-state. He’s set to announce his decision on Saturday, July 11. According to 247Sports, Tillman is the No. 13 defensive lineman in the country.

The latest Rivals crystal ball updates are all trending orange, with recruiting insiders Chad Simmons, Steve Wiltfong, and now Ethan McDowell all forecasting Tillman to Clemson. McDowell joined the chorus on Monday, adding even more buzz to Tiger Town.

The Tigers currently have 24 commitments in their 2027 recruiting class. According to 247Sports' Composite, Clemson has 1 5-star, 9 4-star, and 13 3-star recruits. Kicker Brandin Gallaway is listed as a 3-star by Rivals.

The Tigers are also locked in a fierce recruiting battle with Georgia for another blue-chip prospect, safety Seth Williams, who trimmed his list to Clemson and the Bulldogs back on June 12.

In the latest industry rankings, Clemson’s 2027 class sits at No. 11 according to 247Sports, No. 14 by ESPN, and No. 15 in the Rivals rankings. Among ACC programs, only Miami edges out the Tigers right now, but there’s plenty of time for Clemson to climb even higher..
