Wide Receiver U is just getting warmed up. Tiger Nation is still riding high after a summer recruiting haul for the 2027 class, but Dabo Swinney and his staff are already out front, staking their claim on the next wave of college football's best. The Clemson machine never sleeps.

This weekend, five-star wideout Braylon Clark took to Instagram to announce he’s got a Clemson offer in hand. The Charlotte native is already being called one of the crown jewels of the 2028 class, and landing him would be a massive statement to kick off another elite cycle in Tiger Town.

A Certified Five-Star Phenom

Clark is already the No. 14 player in the country per 247Sports Composite, and he’s the No. 2 prospect in the football hotbed of North Carolina. With just two years of high school ball, this elite playmaker has already made the whole college football world sit up and take notice.

Clark’s 2025 sophomore season was the stuff of legend. Lining up for the Providence Day Chargers, he flat-out roasted defenses all year long, piling up:

  • 65 receptions
  • 1,093 receiving yards
  • 12 touchdowns
  • All accomplished in just 10 varsity games

Those eye-popping stats nearly doubled what he did as a freshman, when he battled his way into a stacked lineup and still found the end zone four times.

Keeping the Providence Day Pipeline Flowing

Tyler Grisham keeps stacking the deck in Death Valley. Clemson’s wide receivers coach has a knack for landing game-changers, just look at Bryant Wesco Jr. and T.J. Moore lighting it up right now. Last cycle, Grisham reeled in a fierce trio of four-star talents: Connor Salmin, Naeem Burroughs, and Gordon Sellars III. The pipeline is alive and well.

And here’s where Clemson’s got a secret weapon: Sellars is Clark’s former teammate at Providence Day. To show just how high Clark’s ceiling is, he actually outpaced Sellars in catches and yards as a sophomore. Sellars is already making noise in Death Valley after a highlight-reel touchdown in the spring game, and you can bet he’ll be in Clark’s ear about joining the Clemson family.

A Pure Weapon in the Making

Clark is a pure dynamo, a multi-sport star with freaky hops and blazing track speed. He’s a force on the track as a sprinter and high jumper, and he gets it done on the hardwood too. But make no mistake, his future is on the biggest stage in college football—and Tiger fans everywhere are hoping that stage is Death Valley.

Grisham and the offensive staff are all-in on making Clark a top priority this cycle. He hasn’t set any unofficial visits yet, but don’t be surprised when Tiger Town becomes a regular destination as Clemson goes all out to land the nation’s best.
