Clemson fans may be down in the dumps after the Tigers College Football Playoff loss, but today, they can smile a little with some great news. Junior linebacker Wade Woodaz announced plans to return for the 2025-26 season.

In a time when following the greener grass is the trend, Woodaz stuck with the Tigers through position changes, playing behind two talented players his first two seasons, and Clemson's signing of Sammy Brown — a top-30 LB in the 2024 class. His patience was rewarded with a starting role next to Barrett Carter.

Woodaz recorded a team-leading 82 tackles, 41 solo, hitting double-digits three times this season against Stanford, Florida State, and Louisville. He also had three sacks, three forced fumbles, five passed defended, and an interception.

With Carter out of eligibility, Woodaz and Brown will likely take over the position. Despite playing behind Woodaz and Carter, Brown still produced an insane stat line of 80 tackles, 48 solo, five sacks, and three passes defended. It's safe to say that barring anything unforeseen, Clemson will be just fine at LB next season.
