As we all know, catching a game at Clemson's Memorial Stadium is a one-of-a-kind experience.

Seeing the Tigers touch Howard's Rock before running down The Hill and onto the Death Valley field is one of the most electric entrances in college football and not only is it iconic, but it's known and recognized by even the most casual fans around the country.

It's one of the best gameday traditions that the sport has to offer and Clemson fans get to see it in person during every Saturday home game in the fall.

In terms of gameday traditions, it has to be in that top tier around college football. And 247Sports agrees, ranking it as one of the top 10 gameday traditions in college football, but where it's ranked is slightly surprising.

According to Grant Hughes of 247Sports, Howard's Rock is the No. 7 gameday tradition in the country behind the likes of Notre Dame's "Play Like A Champion Today" sign, Auburn's Rolling Roomer's Corner, Ohio State's dotting of the "I", Florida State's spear plant, Wisconsin's "Jump Around", and Virginia Tech's "Ender Sandman".

Here what Hughes had to say about the tradition:

"Prior to every home game, Clemson players rub Howard's Rock before running down The Hill in the east end zone. The stone is supposed to give Tigers players "mystical powers," according to the school's website."
Grant Hughes, 247Sports

Howard's Rock is a special Clemson artifact and running down The Hill is also a special intro moment to every home game. It feels even more magical at night when Clemson is hosting some of the best teams in the country.

The nation will get to see just how cool of a tradition this is to open the 2025 season at night against LSU. The Tigers and Tigers will duel it out to see who owns the real Death Valley.
