Clemson took SMU to the woodshed in the first quarter. The Tigers are on the march heading into the second up 21-7.
The Tigers threw the first haymaker with a strip sack on SMU's third play from scrimmage, giving Clemson the ball on the Mustangs' 33-yard line. Two plays later, Klubnik faked a quarterback keeper and threw a 35-yard touchdown to Byrant Wesco Jr., and the Tigers haven't stopped since. Klubnik has three touchdown passes already, including 113 passing yards.
Clemson's defense has done very well, forcing two turnovers and a punt in the first. However, the Tigers did give up a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. The Mustangs are dangerously explosive and can break one loose at any moment, so the game isn't close to finished.
