Clemson football has had a busy week, partaking in the annual ACC Media Days. The Tigers had to wait until Thursday to speak to the media and they provided plenty of great quotes and insight into what their offseasons have looked like.

Cade Klubnik, Peter Woods, and TJ Parker all admitted that they had been pursued by other programs this offseason while Dabo Swinney talked a lot about how he's focused on the upcoming season and not the headlines. It's clear that this team has one thing in mind: a national title.

While Clemson has been busy talking to the media during the ACC kickoff event, there have been some recruiting developments.

The latest concerned a long-time three-star cornerback commit.

Shavar Young Jr. has been committed to Clemson since last August, but it sounds like other teams are making a run at him, hoping to pull off the flip, per a recent report.

Young has been committed for a while, but that hasn't stopped some long-time commits in the past from looking elsewhere. As Chapel Fowler pointed out on X, Clemson had six decommits from August until National Signing Day last year, so it wouldn't be shocking to see that happen to a couple of commits in this class, too. It's just the nature of the sport.

The Tigers only have one other cornerback committed in their 2026 class in Marcell Gipson, so losing Young Jr. would be a tough blow.

As of right now, this is just speculation regarding other schools moving in, but it sounds like he's drawing more interest and could be a potential flip candidate in this year's class.
