It's been a busy past few weeks for Dabo Swinney and Clemson football.

Spring ball officially kicked off for the Tigers and Swinney had landed elite recruit after elite recruit, getting Clemson up to No. 2 in the country in the 2026 team rankings.

Swinney is nowhere near done working.

Although he's shown more of a willingness to utilize the transfer portal (at least ahead of the 2025 season), Swinney is going to make his biggest moves on the high school recruiting trail. He's already made some waves in the 2026 class and he's working on getting more of the nation's best players to Clemson for a visit and ultimately to commit.

On Sunday, Swinney offered a top-30 cornerback from Maryland, Khary Adams, and also four-star Georgia Bulldog running back lean Jae Lamar from Moultrie, Ga.

The Tigers offered the four-star running back while he was on campus and while he may be a strong Georgia lean right now, it looks like Clemson is making some moves. Getting him to visit was already important and then getting him to see Clemson in person only improved its chances.

Lamar holds over 30 offers and is being heavily pursued by the likes of Georgia, Florida State, Miami, and Auburn, but after this Clemson offer, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Tigers join that top group.

The four-star running back stands 6-foot-0 and 205 pounds and is ranked the No. 94 overall recruit and No. 7 running back in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

This would be a heck of a win for Clemson if Swinney is able to beat out Georgia for Lamar.
