Folks, Dre Quinn is officially a Tiger. After visiting Clemson football on May 30 and then also taking official visits to Texas and Georgia in the weeks following, Quinn set a commitment date for June 19 and then made his decision on Thursday.
Quinn was down to a loaded list of potential suitors including Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech, but he chose the Tigers in the end.

Quinn is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge rusher from Buford, Ga., so there were some early on in the recruiting process that believed he would be a Bulldog in Kirby Smart's program, but Dabo Swinney and the Tigers put on the full-court press and it paid off.
Texas was even gaining momentum after his visit with the Longhorns as they picked up a crystal ball prediction to land him, but the writing was on the wall early on Thursday as that changed to Clemson.
Quinn is the No. 263 overall recruit and 26th-best edge rusher in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
With the commitment, Clemson's 2026 recruiting class is up to 19 pledges and it's now up to No. 6 in the country. It was at No. 3 before official visit season but some teams have really taken advantage of the hosting of these elite recruits and have jumped the Tigers. However, there are still some big names left on the board for Clemson so a top-five finish is not out of the question.
The Buford, Ga., native becomes the third defensive line commit in Clemson's 2026 class and the second edge rusher. And he's one of my early picks to far exceed his recruiting rankings.
