It's a big recruiting week for Clemson football as official visits begin on May 30.

The Tigers are hosting a multitude of elite prospects (at least 20 four and five-star recruits) and some of them seem to be on the verge of committing with trimmed lists.

One of those elite prospects who recently trimmed his list and who happens to be visiting on May 30 is four-star offensive tackle Carter Scruggs.

Earlier this week, he trimmed his list to six.

Scruggs' trimmed list included Clemson along with Penn State, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Georgia. All of those schools have had success developing offensive linemen over the years, but the recent powerhouses in the trenches have to be Georgia and Michigan. Clemson has a legitimate shot here with the Leesburg, Va., native.

Scruggs has official visits planned to each of his finalists outside of Oklahoma and Virginia Tech so far, according to 247Sports. He'll be at Clemson this upcoming weekend.

Following his visit to Clemson on May 30, he'll be at Michigan on June 6, Penn State on June 13, and Georgia on June 20. There are no crystal ball predictions for him yet on 247Sports which means his recruitment is wide open. Clemson stands as much of a chance as anyone on this list.

Scruggs is ranked the No. 164 overall recruit in the 2026 class, per 247Sports. He's also the No. 9 interior offensive lineman and No. 7 prospect from the state of Virginia.

This is a massive weekend for Scruggs and Clemson.
