Recruiting is not an easy task for college football coaches, but Dabo Swinney has made a living landing top classes every year. While that hasn't been the case over the past couple of classes (by his standards), the Clemson football coach is getting back to that in 2026.

In fact, Swinney vaulted Clemson's 2026 class all the way up to No. 2 in the country last week after a huge recruiting weekend to kickstart spring ball.

And he's not done.

What makes his job easier as one of the nation's top recruiters are commits who can aid him in recruiting fellow top class prospects. The Tigers landed four-star wideout Connor Salmin two weeks ago and he's already gotten to work on his fellow 2026 classmates.

Clemson offered top-30 cornerback Khary Adams on Sunday afternoon and Salmin immediately took to X to do some recruiting of his own.

Obviously this is just extending the olive branch, but you know there will be talking behind the scenes between these two top recruits and Salmin will do everything he can to make sure his fellow Maryland-native ends up at Clemson with him.

Clemson has basically had its pick of the litter in the 2026 class so far, landing a dozen recruits so far, but Adams will be a tough one to pull. Having a fellow Maryland prospect like Salmin there already may help their chances, but Clemson is behind the 8-ball a bit as he already holds nearly 40 offers.

Adams is the No. 29 overall recruit and the No. 3 cornerback in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. Clemson has an uphill battle here but if anyone can win it, Dabo can.
