As the month of July begins, Clemson football is zeroing in on some top targets in the 2026 class.
The month of June was kind to Dabo Swinney and the Tigers as they added to their 2026 class with some blue-chip prospects, but it dropped from No. 3 to No. 7 in the country because other programs more commitments. The drop in the rankings is not exactly a negative thing.
Unlike in previous cycles, however, Dabo has yet to land a five-star commit, but that could soon change.
In fact, Bryce Perry-Wright is getting ready to commit in a few days.

The No. 32 overall player in the 2026 class is going to make his commitment public on Saturday, July 5, at about 5 p.m. ET. He's choosing between Miami, Texas, Texas A&M, and Clemson, and it feels like the Tigers might have a slight lead after official visits.
A crystal ball was actually cast in favor of Clemson right before that official visit on May 30 and then he took trips to Miami, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Perry-Wright, a Buford, Ga., native, could opt to become the first five-star to commit to Clemson in the 2026 class and he'd join a loaded position group. If you're an elite defensive lineman and want to make it to the NFL, Clemson has to be one of the first programs to look at -- the Tigers have two of the top five 2026 NFL Draft prospects and they both play on the defensive line.
Clemson is on commit watch with one of the best recruits in the nation. Buckle up.
