It appears that the Clemson basketball team is peaking at the right time. As we near the middle of February, March is quickly approaching, making the Tigers' recent uptick in play ideal.

Monday night, head coach Brad Brownell saw his team absolutely take apart North Carolina 85-65 at Littlejohn Coliseum. That came just two days after Clemson scored a 77-71 home win over then-No. 2 Duke, a win that vaulted the Tigers into the national conversation.

"Obviously a great win for us," Brownell said. "Proud of the way our guys have bounced back the last two games. We've played very well."

Senior big man Viktor Lakhin scored 22 points, all but two of which came in the first half to help his team secure a 49-33 advantage at the intermission. That lead essentially put the game on ice before the halftime entertainment had even begun.

Meanwhile, Chase Hunter added 19 points and Jaeden Zackery scored 16 showing why they might be the best backcourt in the ACC and one of the best in the country. It was a satisfying win for Clemson fans because thorough dominations of the Tar Heels have been rare for this program over the years.

Sure, UNC is struggling this year. The Heels are now just 14-11 on the season and 7-6 in ACC play. What's more, many experts are predicting that they may not make the NCAA Tournament.

However, the name on the front of those Carolina Blue road jerseys still carries clout in the sport. Therefore, Clemson again found itself in a showcase game on ESPN, and for the second game in a row, the Tigers impressed people around the nation.

As you might imagine, Clemson fans were enjoying themselves on line after the game. What's more, national experts also took to social media to praise Brownell and his team after picking up back-to-back wins over Duke and North Carolina. Here's a look at some of the best of those posts.
