Clemson fans drag Atlanta sports talk host over the coals for horrible take

An Atlanta radio host called Clemson’s Hill entrance a “waste of time.” Tiger fans didn’t just disagree — they buried him with fiery responses online.

It started with a hot take. It ended with Clemson Nation torching an Atlanta radio host across social media.

Chuck from 680 The Fan called Clemson’s famous bus ride and Hill entrance “a colossal waste of time” and predicted one day it would “go bad.” But when the clip went viral, Tiger fans brought the heat.

Here’s just a sampling of the responses lighting up his mentions:

  • Clemson Sports Network: “If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Pretty simple 😂.”
  • Braves Today: “There’s still time to delete this. My goodness, what a terrible take 😂😂😂.”
  • Jody: “It’s called tradition.”
  • Blake: “Don’t let a slow Brave season have you reaching and putting your nose where it doesn’t belong. I love my Braves, but I love my Tigers more. It’s called tradition.”
  • Michael: “Atlanta sports media hates fun so much, dude. WTF.”
  • Rick: “Stay in your lane.”
  • John: “King my ass.”

The theme? Clemson fans weren’t having it.

What the host dismissed as “inconvenient” or “dangerous” is, to Tiger faithful, sacred. Since the 1940s, buses have circled Memorial Stadium before players storm down The Hill, rubbing Howard’s Rock along the way. Brent Musburger once called it “the most exciting 25 seconds in college football.”

And to Clemson fans, no outsider’s critique is going to change that.

“Say what you want on the radio,” one fan wrote, “but until you’ve been in Death Valley for it, you’ll never understand.”

One thing’s for sure: Clemson’s buses aren’t stopping. The Hill isn’t going anywhere. And neither is the passion that makes it roar.
