Clemson couldn’t have scripted a cleaner first half. Cade Klubnik completed 18 of 23 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown, guiding the Tigers to a commanding 31–10 halftime lead over Boston College in Chestnut Hill.
After trading early field goals, the Tigers’ offense caught fire. Adam Randall’s 8-yard touchdown run capped a 67-yard drive, then Peter Woods bulldozed in from two yards out to make it 17–3. Clemson’s balance was evident — 330 total yards on 40 plays, averaging 8.3 yards per snap.
Klubnik’s Command, Wesco’s Breakout
Klubnik showcased confidence and control, connecting on quick reads and deep strikes alike. His chemistry with standout Bryant Wesco Jr. was electric — five catches for 106 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown that blew the game open late in the second quarter.
Antonio Williams added five receptions for 53 yards, continuing to serve as Klubnik’s safety valve. On the ground, Randall and Klubnik combined for three rushing scores, exploiting Boston College’s edge defense and red-zone softness.
Defense Sets the Tone
Sammy Brown anchored a swarming Clemson defense that limited the Eagles to 170 total yards and just 55 on the ground. Brown’s sack and forced fumble at midfield set up a lightning-fast scoring strike from Klubnik to Wesco.
Peter Woods, who doubled as both defensive tackle and short-yardage fullback, added a one-yard touchdown run and helped clog the middle against BC’s lone bright spot, tailback Turbo Richard (57 yards, one TD).
What’s Next
The Tigers dominated time of possession (17:22–12:26) and third downs (3-of-5) while scoring on all three red-zone trips. With a three-touchdown cushion, Dabo Swinney’s group looks poised to notch its third win.
