Use what you have to your advantage. When it comes to the Clemson Tigers, one of the best things they have going for them this season would be their assortment of pass catchers. They caught the attention of Blake Brockermeyer. In his latest post for USA TODAY Sports, he highlighted the Clemson receiving corps as one of the 10 best in football. Quarterback Christopher Vizzina must be loving this.
Brockermeyer touched on these teams' great collections of wide receivers and tight ends in his post.

Leading the way for Clemson at wide receiver would be Bryant Wesco Jr. and TJ Moore. While Brockermeyer may prefer Moore over Wesco, he recognizes that the latter only played in seven games last fall. With Naeem Burroughs slated to break out, all Vizzina may need is for his tight ends Olsen Patt-Henry and Christian Bentancur to hold up. They can break in the new starting quarterback.
The best pathway forward may be for Vizzina to lean on his playmakers as he finds himself early on.

With Vizzina only being listed as a Tier 4 quarterback coming into this season, fans are wondering if he will ever live up to the hype of his recruitment. He has bided his time as a backup, but it remains to be seen if he will be closer to Trevor Lawrence or Deshaun Watson, instead of potentially being a DJ Uiagalelei or a Klubnik. Again, he needs to let his pass catchers make plays for him during the season.
Given that Moore is a known commodity outside the numbers, as well as Wesco looking dynamic whenever he is out there, maybe Burroughs can break the whole thing wide-open? If he plays up to his potential this year, Clemson could be well on its way back to being WR U. Of course, Vizzina has to be the one to deliver this great receiving corps one strike down the field after another with accuracy.
Overall, Clemson needs to come to grips with the fact that the Tigers may be at a talent advantage in the receiving game more so than pretty much anyone they will face in the ACC. The Miami Hurricanes may have the best receiving corps in the conference, but Clemson is not as far off their trail as one would think. Regardless, Clemson will need to lean on being Clemson again to get back to Charlotte.

Ultimately, Vizzina faces some pressure this year, but not as much as Klubnik did when he took over for Uiagalelei. To be frank, Uiagalelei faced even more pressure taking over for Lawrence. At least Lawrence had Kelly Bryant there to take some of his arrows before he effectively replaced Watson. All in all, Vizzina is simply too talented to waste one of the best Clemson receiving rooms in quite a while.
If Clemson wants to get back to the College Football Playoff, the Tigers must be led by the receivers.
