Clemson's bye week might have been good for resting players and making adjustments, but it wasn't good for its AP standing. The Tigers moved down two spots to No. 11, dropping them out of the top-10.

Three teams moved into the top 10, kicking Clemson as well as Iowa State (which was also on a bye week) and LSU out. Notre Dame moved up four spots after beating Navy 51-14. At the time, Navy was a top-25 team and undefeated, but moving up four spots to No. 8 might have been a little generous. BYU moved up two spots after beating UCF and staying undefeated. Finally, Texas A&M sits solely atop the SEC as the only team in the league with zero conference losses after it defeated LSU on Saturday.

Clemson is still within reach of a top-10 position. However, Miami still holds the highest ranking in the ACC. Despite the Hurricanes' troubles with putting away teams lately, they remain undefeated with little in their way of slowing them down. Pitt and SMU are the only other ACC schools ranked, coming in at No. 18 and No. 20, respectively.
