After what can only be considered a disappointing end to a successful season, Clemson basketball has lost a key contributor who was expected to have a major role on next year's team.
The Tigers learned on Monday afternoon, the first day of the transfer window, that 6-foot-9 forward Chauncey Wiggins would be entering his name in the portal.

That makes it three Tiger departures today.
It's another shakeup for next year's roster.
Wiggins had a strong junior season with the Tigers, averaging a career-best 8.3 points and 2.9 rebounds while playing 23.6 minutes per game. He was one of the top contributors on the team not named Ian Schieffelin, Chase Hunter, or Jaeden Zackery and many thought he'd be back as potentially the top contributor next season.
That is no longer the case, as of right now.
Sure, Wiggins could opt to return to Clemson next season, but it looks like he's going to find a new home where he can be a go-to player and potentially have a larger role (not sure how much bigger a role can get than nearly 25 minutes per game). I could also see him playing closer to home in Georgia for his last year of eligibility.
The Tigers' 2025-26 roster outlook just got a little murkier with the departure of Wiggins which followed two others earlier in the day.
That means Clemson will at least be losing Hunter, Zackery, Viktor Lakhin, Schieffelin, and Wiggins this offseason and Brad Brownell will have to essentially construct an entire new starting five again. He proved he could do that this past offseason, but the Tigers may be entering a rebuilding year.
