The abrupt end to the 2024-25 season meant that Brad Brownell and Clemson basketball could get a jump start on transfer portal recruiting.

Although that's not the way he wanted it to happen, the Tigers' head coach got the (unfortunate) opportunity to attack the portal when it opened on Monday. He has take full advantage, reaching out to what feels like almost a dozen players already with more revealing themselves each day.

We've seen Clemson also make the trimmed lists of Cooper Schwieger and Nick Davidson which is a great sign especially with all the attrition this team has suffered.

In fact, Clemson has lost eight guys this offseason with one (Jaeden Zackery) trying to find another year. Only two players who didn't redshirt this season are back.

Brad Brownell is working on the roster and the latest transfer he's in contact with is Miami (OH) transfer Kam Craft, a sophomore wing.

The 6-foot-6 wing averaged 13.6 points and 3.0 rebounds this season while shooting 45 percent from the floor and an impressive 44 percent from deep. He could be the next sharpshooting wing to join the Tigers and he'd be a nice piece to start with for 2025-26.

But if Dayton and DePaul are his only two scheduled visits so far, that could mean that his level of interest with the big boys may not be all there yet. Brownell may have just made a phone call.

Still, more shooting for next season would be nice, especially after losing Ian Schieffelin, Chase Hunter, Chauncey Wiggins, and Zackery.

We'll see if this turns into a visit.
