Clemson is one of the hottest teams in college basketball right now. In three of the last four games, the Tigers have beaten Penn State, a top-10 team in Kentucky, and Miami, and now they can further extend their great start with a win over Memphis.
Although Memphis isn't ranked, it's a dangerous team. It's 7-2, with wins over ranked teams like UConn and Michigan State. The Tigers' only losses were to No. 2 Auburn and their latest game against Arkansas St. Unfortunately for Clemson, that loss might make tonight's game even harder.
Memphis is looking to get back on the right track, and Clemson just happens to be the next team up. Their scrappy, aggressive defense and outstanding shooters will make life difficult for Clemson.
However, with a great defense of its own, Clemson will be Memphis' biggest challenge to date. According to KenPom, Clemson has the seventh-highest defensive efficiency in the country. The highest Memphis has played is Michigan State, which ranks 22nd. If Clemson matches well on the offensive end, the Tigers could walk out of Littlejohn Coliseum with another big-time, Quad-1 win.
Here's how you can watch the Tigers face off today:
