Expect a lot of transfer portal news from Clemson basketball in the coming weeks as the portal window opened on Monday and Brad Brownell and Co. have been busy.
The Tigers have already reached out to Nevada transfer Nick Davidson and Valparaiso transfer Cooper Schwieger and now they're in on another top name in the portal.
That's right, Clemson has reached out to another coveted transfer.
According to Joe Tipton, Clemson is one of the schools that have reached out to Indiana transfer Malik Reneau after his strong junior season with the Hoosiers.
Indiana transfer forward Malik Reneau is receiving interest from the following schools, per his agent Adam Godes:

Auburn
Clemson
Kansas
Miami
Michigan
North Carolina
Ohio St.
Texas Tech
USC
Virginia Tech https://t.co/CiqBwe8qwC
Some other big names are in on Reneau like Auburn, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, and Texas Tech, among others, and it feels like there's an uphill battle here, but he'd be a nice replacement for Ian Schieffelin and Viktor Lakhin.
Reneau is going to be highly sought-after in the portal and this one will be a fight to the finish.
The Indiana transfer entered the portal based on a coaching change in Bloomington as Mike Woodson stepped down and the Hoosiers replaced him with Darian DeVries from West Virginia. He decided to hit the portal when the change was made and he did have a solid season, averaging 23 minutes and scoring 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds and that was while sharing the post with Oumar Ballo.
Clemson could use a big man like this who is efficient near the rim, shooting 55 percent from the floor as a junior. He can step out and hit the occasional three, but he only shot eight in 2024-25 as opposed to his 15-for-45 rate as a sophomore.
As someone who has seen a lot of Reneau, he would do very well at Clemson.
