The transfer portal window opened on Monday and names have been rolling in ever since. Clemson basketball fans are keeping a close eye on all the new names because they know that Brad Brownell will have to heavily utilize the portal again to get the Tigers back into contention.

Unlike Dabo Swinney, Brownell has embraced the portal and it landed him guys like Viktor Lakhin and Jaeden Zackery last offseason and it could provide him even bigger fish this offseason.

Brownell has already reached out to Nevada star Nick Davidson, Valparaiso transfer Cooper Schwieger, and Indiana's Malik Reneau in the first few days of the portal window. And he's not even close to being done.

According to a report on Wednesday, the Tigers have reached out to Nick Pringle.

Yet another big man for Brownell and Co. as Pringle stands 6-foot-10 and weighs about 220 pounds and Clemson fans should know him well because he was one of the stars for South Carolina in their upset of the Tigers earlier this season. He scored 18 points with five rebounds on 7-for-8 shooting from the floor in an overtime win for the Gamecocks.

Pringle finished the season averaging 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds, shooting 57 percent from the floor. He was a force all season long for the Gamecocks even though they had a bad year.

Clemson will have plenty of competition for Pringle with programs like Arkansas, Ole Miss, USC, Auburn, and Wake Forest also reaching out. The Tigers need some post help and Pringle would provide that, even if he is from a rival school.
