While North Carolina wasn't able to hold on against Duke, ending Clemson basketball's ACC title share hopes, the Tigers were still able to take care of business on Saturday evening against Virginia Tech, breaking several program records in the process.
With the 65-47 win, Clemson improved to 26-5 on the season and 18-2 in ACC play which, in a normal year, would be good enough to at the very least claim a share of the conference title.
But that wasn't the case as we saw a historically-good Duke team win the conference title despite these Tigers taking the Blue Devils down last month. Unfortunately, no one else in the conference was able to threaten Duke like Clemson did which makes me realize the Tigers are likely the biggest threats to them in the ACC Tournament.
Before we get into ACC Tournament talk, where Clemson has clinched a double-bye, let's take a look at some of the records the Tigers broke on Saturday night with the win over Virginia Tech.
FINAL: Clemson 65, Virginia Tech 47

Tigers' 15th double-digit win of the season, a program record.
Their 18th ACC win of the season. Also a record.
Their 26th overall victory sets a new record for regular season wins.
The 15th double-digit win was a program record, the 18th ACC win was a record, and the 26th overall regular-season win set a record as well. That's three different records set with a season finale win over Virginia Tech.
While it wasn't the most exciting game, we did get to see some walk-on excitement at the end for Matt Kelly as the crowd went wild when he hit a 3-pointer.
Clemson heads into the ACC Tournament with a ton of momentum and a chance to win their first conference tournament since 1939. If that happens, I'd put some money on a deep March run.
