Clemson basketball shoots lights out, blows out Radford

Clemson blew off some steam against Radford after dropping its first game of the season to Boise State. Tigers win 79-51

Other than the final few minutes of the first half, Clemson dominated the Highlanders, holding them to a 31 percent average, including 20 percent from downtown. Conversely, the Tigers shoe over 50 percent from the field, knocking down 11-23 (47.8 percent) three-point shots.

One of the problems Clemson faced against Boise State was that Chase Hunter was the only player who could score. Tonight, he was the fourth-leading scorer on the team with 10 points. Instead, the team shared the scoring responsibilities, with Chauncey Wiggins, Ian Schieffelin, and Chase's younger brother Dillon Hunter recording double-digit points. It was a career night for Dillon after scoring 15 points.

The Tigers have their first tournament of the year in Daytona Beach at the 2024 Sunshine Slam starting on Monday, November 25. Clemson will play San Francisco in the first round. On the other side of the bracket are Penn State and Fordham, one of which will play the Tigers the following day.
