Clemson (2-3, 1-2 ACC) is looking to flash some consistency this week at Boston College and get a second consecutive road victory on Saturday.

The Tiges picked up their first conference win and first overall win since the second week of the season with an easy 38-10 victory on the road last Saturday. This week, it’s a trip to Chestnut Hill, where Clemson is trying to extend its win streak in the series with the Eagles to 13 consecutive games. The Tigers are 21-9-2 all-time against BC, including a 10-6-1 record at Alumni Stadium.

Clemson has also won 35 consecutive games against teams with a losing record. Boston College is 1-4 overall and 0-3 in ACC play. The Eagles have lost four consecutive games after a Week 1 win over Fordham, and they are coming off a 48-7 defeat at Pittsburgh.

Availability

Clemson has listed no players questionable or doubtful so far this week. Offensive tackle Elijah Thurmon is the most prominent player listed as out for the BC game, and he could return soon.

All starters are expected to be healthy and playing for the Tigers. The Eagles, however, have a rash of injuries. More than a dozen players are listed as questionable for Saturday, while five are probable and eight have been ruled out already.

Check back with Rubbing The Rock later for injury updates.

Predictions

Zach Lentz:  The Clemson Tigers are officially out of the “prove it to me zone, not because of anything they have done, but more so due to the level of competition. The Tigers will still have their share of head-scratching plays, play calls, and coaching decisions, but they will overcome them due to the ineptitude of Boston College.

Final score: Clemson 31, Boston College 17

Brad Senkiw: Things were really easy for Clemson last week, especially in the first half. BC’s back is against the wall and should put up a better fight than UNC. Aside from last week’s debacle at Pitt, the Eagles have played close games. But their injuries and lack of confidence won’t be enough to get past a Clemson team that has the complete opposite. The Tiger offense will have plenty of opportunities to throw the ball around against BC’s secondary, and that’ll lead Clemson to a win.

Final score: Clemson 34, Boston College 20
