Three familiar Clemson names found paydirt on Sunday, turning NFL Week 11 into a mini Tiger reunion in the end zone.
Former Clemson standouts Travis Etienne, Trevor Lawrence and Tee Higgins all scored touchdowns, with Etienne and Lawrence combining for four TDs in a Jacksonville Jaguars blowout and Higgins producing Cincinnati’s only trip to the end zone.
Etienne, Lawrence carry Jaguars in rout of Chargers
In Jacksonville, Etienne and Lawrence did most of the damage in a 35–6 dismantling of the Los Angeles Chargers that pushed the Jaguars to 6–4.
Etienne broke loose first, punching in a 2-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter to give the Jags a 14–6 cushion. After halftime, Lawrence took his turn on the ground, sneaking in from a yard out midway through the third to stretch the lead to 21–6.
Early in the fourth, Lawrence went back to the air, tossing a 1-yard touchdown pass to Tim Patrick that pushed the advantage to 28–6. Etienne then closed the scoring with style, slicing in for a 13-yard touchdown run in the final frame to cap the 29-point win.
Etienne finished with 73 rushing yards and two scores on 19 carries, again serving as Jacksonville’s workhorse and red-zone finisher. Lawrence went 14-of-22 for 153 yards with one touchdown pass and one interception, adding the 1-yard rushing TD to complete a balanced, efficient day at home.
Higgins snags Bengals’ lone touchdown in loss
Up in Pittsburgh, Higgins made his impact early even as his Bengals couldn’t keep pace.
Cincinnati fell 34–12 to the Steelers to drop to 3–7, but Higgins provided the Bengals’ only touchdown of the afternoon, hauling in a 28-yard scoring strike from Joe Flacco in the first quarter.
Higgins finished with three receptions for 63 yards and that lone touchdown, continuing to be a downfield and red-zone threat despite Cincinnati’s broader struggles.
What’s next for the Clemson trio
The path forward offers another chance for the Clemson trio to keep stacking stats — and wins.
Higgins and the Bengals return home next Sunday to host the New England Patriots in a matchup they badly need to stabilize a rough season.
Lawrence, Etienne and the Jaguars, meanwhile, hit the road to face the Arizona Cardinals, looking to build on a statement win that showcased their Clemson-born backfield as the engine of a playoff push.
