Clemson's path to the ACC title looked like a walk in the park after Miami's Cam Wade opted for the NFL draft. But now, the Hurricanes look just as dangerous.

If we're being honest, Clemson was lucky to make the ACC Championship, let alone win it. Clemson fans have Miami to think for that. If it weren't for their final regular season loss to Syracuse, Cam Ward and the Hurricanes would've played in Clemson's place. And with their new transfer, it looks like the race to the ACC championship will once again involve Miami.

Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has chosen Miami as his new home after entering the portal,. In his two seasons as the Bulldogs' starter, he led them to a 24-4 record, including a playoff appearances. In 2023, Georgia was perfect in the regular season but lost to Alabama in Nick Saben's last season with the Tide in the SEC Championship.

As a Bulldog, Beck recorded 7,912 yards, including nearly 4,000 in 2023. With those yards, he threw 58 touchdowns on 923 attempts while limiting interceptions to 20. However, most of the interceptions (12) happened in 2024.

Beck has one season of eligibility left. Out of high school, 247Sports rated him as a .90 composite four-star, although he was still considered a top 300 recruit. 247Sports ranked him No. 254 nationally and the No. 9 pro-style QB.

Clemson will likely be the favorite to win the ACC again. Cade Klubnik took a massive step forward this season, and the Tigers found massive weapons at wideout. On the other hand, Miami was a dangerous team in 2024, and with Beck, they could be even better. Although they won't play in the 2025 regular season, the road to the ACC title likely runs through Miami.
