College football recruiting is a battle, and you have to be ready to fight back. After a tough week where two of our top tight end targets slipped away, Dabo Swinney and tight ends coach Kyle Richardson are wasting no time. They’re already going after big-time talent from Georgia, determined to keep Clemson’s future bright.

It stings any time a top recruit picks the SEC, especially after we rolled out the orange carpet at the Elite Retreat. Four-star Grant Haviland chose Vanderbilt and three-star Tommy Douglas is heading to Florida, but there’s no time for sulking in the Upstate. The Clemson staff is already locked in on the next wave of Tigers for the 2027 class.

The Statistical Standout: Mason Hall

First on the list is First up is Mason Hall, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound playmaker from Oconee County High. If you want a guy who puts up numbers, Hall is your answer. In three varsity seasons for the Warriors, he’s racked up 119 catches, 1,545 yards, and 12 touchdowns. three-star prospect with nearly 30 offers to his name, and while he has visits lined up with the likes of Duke and NC State, the Clemson offer clearly carries weight. Hall took to social media to share the news, stating: "Grateful to receive an offer from Clemson!"

The Georgia Sleeper: Carter Blackwell

Right behind Hall is Carter Blackwell out of Lee County High. At 6-foot-4 and 224 pounds, Blackwell looks the part the moment he steps on the field. He just wrapped up a breakout season, turning 24 catches into 438 yards and five touchdowns.

Florida State and North Carolina are already sniffing around, but Clemson is making sure Blackwell knows where he belongs. The Tigers want this Georgia standout in Orange and Regalia. After getting the call from the staff, Blackwell posted: "I’m blessed and honored to have received an offer from Clemson University‼️"

The Battle for Five-Star Talent

Hall and Blackwell are big-time prospects, but the Tigers aren’t done yet. Clemson is still chasing five-star Jaxon Dollar, who put the Tigers in his top 10 back in December. The so-called experts might be picking Notre Dame, but we know how Dabo can turn the tide.

However, in Tigertown, we know better than to count out Dabo in a recruiting battle.

Building the 2027 Foundation

Right now, Clemson’s 2027 class is ranked No. 21 in the country, led by four-star linebacker Bryce Kish and hometown wideout Trey Wimbley. Land a physical, pass-catching tight end, and this group could be something special.

Recruiting is never easy, but with Hall and Blackwell in the mix, the Tigers are showing that when one door closes, Clemson just builds a bigger one. That’s how you keep the Tiger train rolling.
