basketball is charging full steam ahead on the 2027 recruiting trail, and Tiger Nation just got another jolt of excitement. Four-star combo guard Peyton Jones, one of the most electrifying playmakers in the country, announced Thursday that he’s landed an offer from the Tigers. Jones didn’t waste any time giving a shoutout to assistant coach Nick Marner and head coach Brad Brownell, making it clear he’s already got Clemson on his mind.

At 6'2 and 185 pounds, Jones is a high-octane guard out of Dynamic Prep in Dallas, Texas, and the recruiting world is already buzzing about his game. 247Sports has him pegged with a 91 rating, ranking him as the No. 52 player in the nation, the No. 8 combo guard, and the No. 5 player in Texas. The 247Sports Composite bumps him to No. 76 nationally, No. 13 among combo guards, and No. 4 in the Lone Star State. However you look at it, this is a major target for Clemson, and landing him would be a statement on the recruiting trail.

Clemson isn’t the only big name in the hunt—Cincinnati, Houston, Oklahoma State, and SMU are all listed as warm on 247Sports, and Jones has a visit lined up with Cincinnati on June 21. The competition is fierce, but the Tigers have thrown their hat in the ring, and you can bet the staff will be working overtime to make sure Clemson stands out.
