It's only June, but it looks like Clemson football may already have its 2025 mantra.
Thanks to Wade Woodaz and Ben Boulware, it looks like Clemson may have one of the coolest mantras ahead of the 2025 season and it should scare the heck out of opponents.
"We're going to suffocate you then shake your hand."

Admittedly, that goes incredibly hard. The video that accompanied the tweet was also great and if that doesn't get you excited about the start of the 2025 season, I don't know what will.
Clemson is getting that chip back on its shoulder after a few years of falling short of expectations. The Tigers proved people wrong in 2024, winning the ACC and making the College Football Playoff for the first time since Trevor Lawrence was under center. Dabo Swinney seemed to have gotten his swag back and the team has fully bought in, returning the most production of any team in the Power Four.
Boulware's mantra has to be one of the best in the country and while it may not stick, I think it should. Imagine playing a team that just beats you down for 60 minutes and then smiles in your face and then shakes your hand after the game. That's terrifying. That's going to be Clemson.
Whether it's the elite defensive line with top NFL Draft prospects, the lockdown secondary, the No. 1 quarterback in the country, one of the best receiving corps in the nation, or the top-tier mantra, there are almost too many reasons to be amped about the upcoming season.
Memorial Stadium is going to be shaking with excitement in 2.5 months.
