Some news just catches people off guard completely and it's safe to say that was the case on Wednesday morning when it was rumored that Ian Schieffelin would be joining Clemson football.
This news took everyone by surprise and it's been the talk of social media all day and even some Clemson football players have taken notice.
One of those players is backup quarterback Christopher Vizzina.
The former top-100 recruit in the 2023 class caught wind of the news late on Wednesday afternoon and reacted accordingly. His emoji usage either means that he knew this was in the works or that he's excited to see it happen -- or both.

Look, I'm not going to sit here and over-analyze the use of emojis, but it seems like the football team was made aware of this already and they're excited about it. Dabo Swinney got what he wanted.
It's been well-documented that Swinney has wanted Schieffelin to come out for the football team because he believed that he would be a "great player" with his size and athleticism. He mentioned that he'd be a good defensive end or tight end and that's the current rumor.
Vizzina has to be excited because that's not a new weapon for him to utilize if he ever has to replace Cade Klubnik for any reason this season.
A quarterback's best friend is a tight end who can catch anything thrown their way and if that tight end happens to be 6-foot-8 and athletic, watch out. Vizzina has to be thrilled with the offense getting a boost from a guy who just led Clemson hoops to a 27-7 season and who has said himself that he has great hands and he would be a good football player.
The 2025 season needs to start immediately.
