Clemson is swinging for the fences in the 2026 football recruiting class. Already making inroads with a number of top national prospects, the Tigers are currently also in the mix for one of the best wide receivers in the high school ranks, Cederian Morgan.

Rated a 5-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite Rankings, the Alexander City, Alabama native has cut his list to six schools, and the Tigers have made the cut. According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Morgan is also still considering Colorado, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida.

Right now, there are two "Crystal Ball" predictions on 247Sports.com that have Morgan landing at Auburn and one that picks Alabama as the winner of this massive recruiting battle. Thus, it seems like pulling this prized prospect out of his home state might be a challenge. Still, it is worth the effort for Clemson to try to pull out all the stops and see if Morgan would like to play for head coach Dabo Swinney and Co.

Morgan is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound player who already possesses a college-ready physique. That already makes him comparable in size to Ohio State's phenomenal wide receiver, Jeremiah Smith, who is 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds. Of course, Smith took the nation by storm this past season catching 76 passes for 1,315 yards and 15 TDs as a true freshman.

While there is no guarantee that Morgan will have that type of immediate impact when he steps on campus in 2026, it is worth noting that people have raved about Smith's physique as being one of his greatest attributes and Morgan already appears to have that type of size going for him as well.

According to Jason Jones of Sports Illustrated, Morgan is also an accomplished multi-sport athlete. In track-and-field, he has cleared 6-foot-4 in the high jump and also plays basketball for his high school.

However, it is on the football field where his future lies. As a junior, he hauled in 70 passes for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns. Now, as he approaches his senior season, he has plenty of options to sort through as it pertains to where he will play his college football.

247Sports shows that he has unofficially visited Auburn and Florida while attending camps at Clemson and Tennessee. That site also says that he has official visits to Clemson and Florida lined up for late May and early June.

So as the summer months kick off, keep an eye out for news about Morgan's recruitment because he may make his decision before the next school year kicks off. This is the No. 18 overall player and No. 3 wide receiver in the country and if Clemson can land him, the Tigers could have the nation's next superstar wide receiver on their roster.
