Recruiting nowadays is not an easy task for head coaches -- it never was. Not only do you have to recruit like normal (but add in NIL and the transfer portal), but you also have to keep recruiting the players who have been committed to your school. Dabo Swinney has been doing just that with his 2026 Clemson football class.

Dabo has never been a fan of the new era of the transfer portal and having to constantly recruit his own guys, but it looks like he's doing a great job.

How do we know that?

Despite receiving interest from other programs, his 2026 class has yet to have a single flip. Not only that, but one of his top commits has announced that he's shutting his recruitment down and is sticking with Clemson for good.

Naeem Burroughs made the announcement on Monday evening.

Years ago, this wouldn't even be news because flipping and transferring weren't nearly as common, but considering that's now the norm in college football, it's massive news.

Burroughs is one of the best players in Clemson's 2026 class, ranked No. 84 overall, and he's also the ninth-best receiver, according to the composite. He's been committed to the Tigers since March and he's not going anywhere, barring some crazy change of heart. Recruits don't often announce that they're shutting things down because they want to explore options and be 100 percent sure.

It sounds like Burroughs is 100 percent sure.

This is great for class chemistry, and it's also big for that receiver room which will be losing Antonio Williams after this season. Keeping an elite wideout like Burroughs is massive.
