Clemson Football and Clemson Women’s Soccer receive postseason honors

The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the All-ACC teams for football, and eight Clemson Tigers made the cut.

Jeremiah Trotter, Nate Wiggins, and Tyler Davis made the first team.

Barrett Carter was named to the second team. Will Putnam, Ruke Orhorhoro, Jake Briningstool, and Blake Miller were named to the third team.

Clemson Women’s Soccer is also celebrating players who were named to the All-Atlantic Region team. Hal Hershfelt, Halle Mackiewicz, and Makenna Morris were named to the first team. Caroline Conti and Harper White were named to the third team.

This is the fourth time Hershfelt has been honored on an All-Region team. She has one goal and four assists on the season. She is a key component of Clemson’s ball movement through the midfield and a strong defensive presence.

Mackiewicz had 59 saves this season and 13 shutouts this season, which broke the record of 12 shutouts set by Katie Carson in 1999.

Morris received her third All-Region honor. She led the team with 10 goals this season and added six assists.

White received her first All-Region honor. She was a key component of the Clemson defensive effort this season.

Conti was second on the team with eight goals, also contributing four assists.

The Tigers are in the College Cup and will play the Florida State Seminoles this Friday at 6:00 PM in Cary, North Carolina.
