Beaux Collins will miss the Clemson Football game at South Carolina

Head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed that Beaux Collins will not play this weekend against the Gamecocks.

Collins has been diagnosed with a plantar fascia tear. No official word on the postseason, but recovery time often takes as much as twelve weeks, so my suspicion is that Collins is likely done for the season. That timeframe would allow him to be ready for spring practice. Let’s keep our fingers crossed his recovery goes well.

Antonio Williams has practiced, but Swinney was hesitant to say he would be ready this weekend, continuing to describe him as day-to-day. If Williams does not play, he would be eligible to count this season as a redshirt. I am not sure if that even remotely figures into the team’s thinking.

We were also treated to some Swinneyisms.
