Wes Goodwin nominated for Broyles Award
While Wes Goodwin took some shots from fans for some breakdowns by the defense in early losses to Duke and Florida State, his defense has proven to be quite good through the bulk of the 2023 season. As one might expect, he is starting to get the recognition for that.
The Broyles Award announced their nominees for the most outstanding assistant coach of the season, and Goodwin was included.
Goodwin is one of 57 nominees. Other notable names include Tommy Rees from Alabama, Mike Bobo from Georgia, Chip Lindsey from North Carolina, Al Golden from Notre Dame, Pete Golding from Ole Miss, and Jeff Lebby from Oklahoma.
