Shelton Lewis named ACC Rookie of the Week

The ACC has named Clemson Football cornerback Shelton Lewis it’s Rookie of the Week for his performance against Georgia Tech.

Lewis caught an interception from Tech quarterback Haynes King which he returned 46 yards for a touchdown. He also had four pass defenses and one tackle.

Three other freshmen had interceptions against the Yellow Jackets: Kylon Griffin, Khalil Barnes and Aveion Terrell.

PJ Hall named to Wooden Award watchlist

Clemson Men’s Basketball player PJ Hall has been named to the preseason watchlist for the John R. Wooden Award.

The Wooden Award is given to the most outstanding men’s and women’s basketball player each season. Hall is one of fifty recognized on the preseason watchlist. Over the course of the season the list will be brought to fifteen players for their final ballot.

Other notable names include Armando Bacot of North Carolina, Zach Edey of Purdue, Kyle Filipowski of Duke, and Judah Mintz of Syracuse

Clemson Track & Field announced another signing yesterday.
