Dabo Swinney speaks on his (pre-recorded) call-in show

As usual, head coach Dabo Swinney spoke on the Monday call-in show, one week after the infamous Tyler From Spartanburg call. Due to the MBB game, it was pre-recorded this time.

Swinney spoke on his demeanor going into the Notre Dame game.

"“Hopefully I don’t have to get everybody mad again to make them show up this week. But if that’s what it takes, I’ll do it.”"

Was he referring to his team, or the fans? Probably both. I’ve said several times that what Swinney needs to say for the team often doesn’t sync with what the fans want to hear, but this time the fans get what they want. Swinney was as frustrated as they were, and he decided to light a fire.

Four Tigers were cited by the ACC as Players Of The Week for their win over Notre Dame

  • Phil Mafah: Running Back of the Week
  • Will Putnam: Offensive Lineman of the Week
  • Jeremiah Trotter: Linebacker of the Week
  • Aidan Swanson: Specialist of the Week
