Happy Halloween! Here is today’s Clemson Tigers News.

I am sure most of you have heard about Dabo Swinney’s rant on his call-in show last night. Thank you to FanSided’s Michael Collins for covering the event and sharing his perspective. You can read that here.

The usual plan is that Swinney holds a press conference on Tuesday at 11AM during the football season. I have no idea what to expect today, but I will definitely be tuning in.

ACC reveals new conference schedules for the next seven years

The Atlantic Coast Conference released a new conferencing scheduling model this past year that did away with divisions and insured that every conference member visited and hosted each member school at least once in a four year span, while also preserving traditional rivalries.

Then the conference voted to admit Stanford, California and SMU and trashed the whole thing.

Last night, the ACC revealed their conference schedules for the next seven seasons. It doesn’t include specific dates, but does list who each school will host and visit.

The annual rivalry with Florida State has been preserved, but the Tigers will no longer play NC State or Georgia Tech every season.

This post on X has a graphic for every season in the thread.

Clemson will host Stanford at Death Valley next season. The Tigers will make their first conference trip west of the Mississippi in 2026 when they visit Cal.

In the big picture, the ACC did as well as they could with this very odd task. As noted, Clemson plays FSU all seven years. They will play the rest of their conference mates, including the three new schools, three or four times each over that seven year period.

Now we wait to find out how long this model stays in place before there is another change. Multiple schools have been rumored to be exploring ways to exit the conference’s Grant of Rights.

No school announced their departure following the 2023 season before the deadline passed, so it appears that the model will see at least one year of use, and the Cardinal will be coming to town.
