Walker Parks will miss the rest of the Clemson Football season

After the game, head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed that starting offensive lineman Walker Parks would miss the rest of the 2023 season due to injury. Parks missed the Florida Atlantic game and did not return against Florida State.

Parks missed time in 2022 due to an ankle issue that required offseason surgery. Swinney confirmed he is dealing with a new injury located below the ankle, but did not specify.

Swinney did not have an update on Antonio Williams’s injury or on Nate Wiggins, who was injured near the end of regulation.

Swinney defended Clemson Football’s effort

Swinney had a few quotes to describe his mindset after the loss.

"“That honestly is as tough a loss as I’ve ever been a part of. You win one like that, it’s top of the world. You lose one like that, you’re sick to your stomach.”“Kind of the story of our season so far, the turnover margin. We are 2-2 this season because we’ve given up 36 points off turnovers”"

Swinney defended Cade Klubnik, the defense and coordinator Wes Goodwin.

"“I thought Cade was amazing. That kid was amazing. An absolutely amazing performance by him…. I thought our receivers did a lot of good things and played well.”“Our defense, wow, what a second half. You give up 17 points to a great offense like (Florida State has), you should win the game.”“I thought Wes (Goodwin) did a hell of a job”"
