Clemson Women’s Soccer 2, Florida State 4: The Tigers lose a Top 10 game to the Seminoles.
Clemson took a 2-0 lead in the first half of this contest behind goals from Caroline Conti (5th) and Makenna Morris (18th), off assists from Tatum Short and Megan Bornkamp, respectively.
Florida State was able to tie the game by halftime, and then found the goal twice more in the second half. The Tigers are now 1-1-0 in matches against top ten teams, with a victory over Arkansas.
Clemson returns to action Thursday in Miami.
Clemson Volleyball defeats Tulane 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-13): The Tigers earn another victory at the Tulane Invitational, this time over the host.
Junior Devan Taylor had 12 digs for the match, which put her over 1,000 digs in her career.
Mia McGrath had 8 kills and Katie Culumovic had 15 assists.
Clemson wraps up the Tulane Invitational and non-conference play later later today.
Clemson Men’s Soccer 2, Duke 0: Clemson United opened up Atlantic Coast Conference play with a victory over the Blue Devils.
The win gives the Tigers a Top 10 victory. Duke was the 8th ranked program.
Clemson’s first score was an own goal by Duke off a shot by Shawn Smart that was deflected into the goal. The Tigers added insurance in the 74th minute with a goal by Tyler Trimnal.
The Tigers will host Gardner-Webb on Tuesday at Historic Riggs Field.
Clemson Men’s Tennis scored two victories by Marko Mesarovic and Maxwell Smith on Day 1 of the Wake Forest Invitational. The event continues today.
